Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will wait all summer to land Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren, according to The Mirror

The Saints stars - who have been linked with a summer switch to Anfield ahead of the up coming market - enjoyed a fine season at the St Mary's helping the club achieve an eighth placed Premier League finish.

However, after the departure of head coach Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham, it appears that the players' futures are uncertain.

And Reds fans will be desperate for the duo to follow in the footsteps of striker Rickie Lambert, who recently completed his move to Anfield. Liverpool, though, appear focussed on signing the duo at the right price and are prepared to play the waiting game with the Saints.

Rodgers seems desperate to improve his side after the club secured a place in next season's Champions League competition. The Merseyside outfit finished in second place last term, just behind eventual champions Manchester City.

Liverpool fans will now be hoping that squad additions can help them progress further as they embark on a European campaign and another title challenge.

Reds fans: Do you think Lallana and Lovren are worth the wait? Have your say below!
