Detroit Lions caught up in fans tattoo craziness

Sports fans often get tattoos to further show off their love for their teams, but when tattoos are used to predict the future, is that when fans have gone too far?

A picture circulating around Twitter today shows the high amount of faith that a Detroit Lions fan has in his team for the upcoming NFL season.

The ever optimistic Lions fan has now got a tattoo declaring Detroit as the 2015 Super Bowl Champions, complete with the Vince Lombardi trophy and the Lions emblem together.

Found here, David Morian is seen smiling thanks to his new bodily addition whilst unsurprisingly wearing the jersey of his beloved Lions.

Certainly the odds of Detroit winning it all remain distant with bookmaker Bet365 placing the Lions at 40/1 to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Arizona come February.

Perhaps its because teams like the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots are all looking so formidable?

Maybe because last year the Lions went 7-9 and didn't even manage to make the play-offs, who knows but for some reason, bookmakers don't seem to agree with Morian.

He certainly isn't the first though, soccer fans will recall an ambitious Manchester City fan who once got a tattoo predicting them to win the 2011 UEFA Champions League.

A prediction that was way wide of the mark as City didn't even qualify for the tournament, Detroit fans may be hoping that Morian is a bit closer with his prediction.
