Not content with the acquisition of Rickie Lambert and Emre Can already this summer, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has set his sights on more Anfield additions ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

However, according to the Daily Star on Sunday the Reds will not make any further signings until offloading some of the club's fringe players, with four first-team outcasts already identified for a move away from Merseyside during the transfer window.

There has been no shortage of names linked with Liverpool over the past few weeks and months, as Rodgers continues his recruitment drive ahead of the club's return to the Champions League next season.

In addition to strengthening in various areas of his senior squad it will also be imperative that Liverpool keep hold of their current crop of leading stars, who led them to a second place finish in the Premier League last term.

Luis Suarez is arguably the most important player that Liverpool need to retain as the prolific striker continues to be mentioned for a big-money switch to Real Madrid this summer.

The Reds will entertain offers for a number of stars though, but ones that have been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield moving forward.
