Mario Balotelli's agent has dropped the biggest hint yet that his player could be off to Arsenal this summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports and reported by The Metro, Mino Raiola said that Arsenal are a 'fantastic club' in the wake of reports linking Balotelli with the Gunners.
"Arsenal are a fantastic club," Raiola told Sky Sports. "Will a transfer happen? Anything is possible."
Raiola, one of football's more famous agents alongside the likes of Jorge Mendes, is never one to shy away from the spotlight. And he's done another good job here keeping Balotelli in the news following his match-winning goal against England on Saturday.
But when asked if he was already in talks with Arsenal officials over a transfer, he quickly shut up shop. "Mind your own business," was the reply to that particular enquiry.
Earlier this month reports claimed Arsene Wenger would keep tabs on the £27m-rated Balotelli during the World Cup. The Arsenal boss is working as a pundit for a French TV channel, but is using the opportunity to narrow down his transfer options.
Mario Mandzukic, in action for Croatia tomorrow, France international Karim Benzema and Balotelli are believed to be the three top striker targets for Wenger.
Balotelli would be the riskiest of the bunch, but would likely cost less than Benzema. The Italian international is expected to leave AC Milan this summer.
Balotelli's situation at AC Milan
The Italian club are looking to freshen up a squad that has failed to impress in recent campaigns, and although Balotelli initially proved popular upon his return to the San Siro in January 2013, he is now surplus to requirements.
Milan finished seventh in Serie A last season and Balotelli was the club's top scorer with 14 in 29 appearances. He's a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, and helped Manchester City to the title in 2012 with 13 goals in 14 Premier League starts.
Still just 23-years-old, he would provide competition for current first-choice forward Olivier Giroud. The French international was the undisputed number one last term, but Arsenal struggled without another option when Giroud struggled.
