Football News

The penultimate episode of Monday night Raw before Money in the Bank kicked off with the WWE roster at the top of the ramp as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon headed to the ring. Stephanie said they had gathered everyone there for a meeting because she knows what it’s been for them not to have a WWE Champion.

Triple H said they all fight 52 weeks a year for a chance to be WWE Champion and when they do, they are immortalised. He said they Daniel Bryan had no heart and the Universe deserves a champion and that man may very well be standing on the ramp.

Stephanie then announced a battle royal for one of the remaining places in the Money in the bank ladder match for the title.

Triple H then said there were a few people who refused to evolve so they wouldn’t be taking part, they were Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and John Cena. He told Cena that because Daniel Bryan is unable to compete right now Cena was instead going to face Kane in the stretcher match that was planned to be at Money in the Bank. If Cena wins he will qualify for the ladder match. Kane’s music hit and an ambulance came into the arena.

Dolph Ziggler v Seth Rollins

The two have had a storied rivalry for the last few weeks, and now the pair clashed again in Dolph Zigglers hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

Seth Rollins came out still wearing his Shield gear, he went straight after Dolph but the Showoff hit a hip toss and Rollins rolled out of the ring. Seth climbed back in and got the headlock take down but Ziggler fought back with a dropkick before Seth threw Dolph into the turnbuckle.

Seth then threw Ziggler through the second rope before he went to fly out after him but Ziggler punched him in the face. Seth then hit an enziguri, Seth then went for Peace of Mind but Dolph hit a DDT for a near fall.

Dolph went for the famouser but Seth tried to counter only for Dolph to roll through into a pin for another near fall, Dolph then locked in the sleeper hold before he hit the famouser this time for a two count.

Seth countered the Zigzag and hit a moonsault but no one was there, Dolph went for another DDT but Seth threw him neck first into the top turnbuckle, Seth then started to get a little violent and hit another turnbuckle powerbomb before he finally hit Peace of mind.

Dean then ran in before he could hit the pin and attacked Seth, Rollins ran from the ring and up the ramp whilst Dean picked up a mic and told him this is not over and it wont be over until he gets his hands on him.

He told him to come down and fight him like a man before throwing off his jacket but Triple H appeared and said that the good news is that he likes to fight, that’s good news but he’s got some bad news for him.

Bad News Barrett v Dean Ambrose

Raw returned with Dean all over Barrett as he hit the punches to the face and a suplex for a near fall. Barrett fought back with punches to the mid section knocking Ambrose into the corner before he hit the neck breaker for a two count of his own.

Barrett hit a thunderous kick to Ambrose’s ribs before he hit knees to the stomach in the corner, Ambrose then exploded out of the corner and knocked Barrett over the rope and out of the ring before he jumped out after him.

Both men rolled back into the ring and climbed up the turnbuckle but he was knocked off the top rope and looked like he injured his shoulder, Ambrose tried to get up and return to the ring, but Barrett knocked him back out before he followed him out and continued the beat down.

Raw returned with Barrett on top as he continued to use the injured shoulder to his advantage, Ambrose began the fight back with an elbow to the face and a hair pull take down before he hit a DDT for a near fall.

Barrett hit Winds of Change for a two count before he went for Wasteland but Dean countered into a pin for a near fall before he hit his clothesline off the ropes.

Seth tried to distract Dean from the announce table but Dean knocked Barrett down, knocked Seth off the apron and threw Barrett to the outside, Ambrose then flew to the outside after the two before he chased Seth out of the ring and into the audience.

Dean came back after the referee announced the winner and attacked Bad News Barrett and hit him with Dirty Deeds.

Bray Wyatt made his way to the ring to talk about Money in the Bank, he qualified for the World Heavyweight Championship match on Smackdown and he spoke to the crowd about power and how he thinks it will be the downfall of the world.

Power and influence are his game and as long as he’s living with his people inside the WWE Universe that is all the power he will ever need.

Sheamus interrupted ready for their match, and said he’s not sure if he’s aware but its bad luck to walk under a ladder match, he said Bray says he’s got the whole world in his hands but he’s going to stick his whole boot down his throat.

Sheamus v Bray Wyatt

Harper and Rowan stayed at ringside for the match as Sheamus went after Bray but the strange superstar fought back throwing Sheamus into the turnbuckle but the Celtic Warrior hit a suplex and a neckbreaker to take the advantage.

Sheamus went for the ten beat of the Bourin but Bray fought out and Sheamus knocked him outside and Harper and Rowan lurked until The Usos music hit and their Money in the Bank opponents made their way to the ring.

Sheamus hit Bray with a rolling senton on the outside before The Usos fought back in the ring with a superkick to the ladder which knocked Harper and Rowan down.

Sheamus then took the ladder and knocked Harper and Rowan out of the ring with it before Sheamus held the ladder down onto the ropes whilst the Usos ran up the ladder and took out the family on the outside.

Heath Slater v Rusev

Heath now has no stable after the releases of the rest of 3MB this week, so Slater went one on one with Rusev.

The crowd chanted USA as Lana tried to speak, she told them to shut up and listen before she talked about Putin again and Russia. Slater then took the mic and said week after week they talked about Russia and said if they liked it so much, why didn’t they just go back? Because everyone is sick of hearing it. He then chanted USA.

Slater hit a right hand to the face but Rusev hit his own kick to the face and made Slater tap to The Accolade.

BACKSTAGE: Triple H was asking Steph if she’s ok, Triple H blamed Vickie and sent her into the toilet to check she was ok but she was sick all over her. Triple H then said he was getting Steph out of here and put Vickie in charge. Vickie then stood there screaming covered in sick.

Paige tried to make quick work of Cameron with the hair pull take downs before the knees to the mid-section and a pin but a kick out at one.

Cameron then tricked Paige into shaking her hand and kicked her before slapping her twice. Naomi didn’t look impressed at ringside. Paige hit a suplex followed by the on-going clotheslines and a drop kick and the PTO for the submission win.

It was then unveiled that Stardust AKA Cody Rhodes was Goldust’s new tag team partner.

Goldust and Stardust v RybAxel

Stardust and Goldust attacked Axel and Ryback from behind to begin the match, Stardust then took on Axel and hit a springboard elbow followed by a DDT from the top rope for the win.

Kane v John Cena (Stretcher match for the final place in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Kane went after John Cena straight out of the blocks before he put the former Champion on the stretcher, but John jumped off and hit Kane in the ribs with the stretcher before Cena was driven shoulder first into the steel steps.
