Nick Foles has made quite the impression on the quarterback coaches in Philadelphia, and looks to build on the success that he had last season.

Foles had a breakout season last year, posting an astounding 27:2 touchdown to interception ratio while leading the Eagles to the playoffs. Despite losing in the first round of the playoffs, the Eagles exceeded expectations last season as first-year coach Chip Kelly impressed as well. Of course, the Eagles also had the services of wide receiver Desean Jackson last season, who has since been traded to the Washington Redskins, but the Eagles have high expectations this year, especially offensively.

The Quarterback coach for the Eagles expressed his thoughts on Foles to the media the other day, "He can throw the ball exactly where he wants to. He can add air, add touch. He can add velocity and really drive it when it's needed. But to see the way that he can visualize formations, coverages, and process what he sees has been impressive."

Clearly the new QB coach likes what he sees in Foles, and sees him continuing his success as the Eagles starting QB next season.

The Eagles added Quarterback Matt Barkley in the draft last year, who is a promising young player who has certainly learned a lot from playing alongside Foles. While Foles still has a long way to go as an NFL quarterback to prove himself as elite, he has certainly shown that he can lead the Eagles back to the playoffs and make his team better.

If Foles can put together another masterpiece of a season, then he can solidify himself in the conversation for the top five quarterbacks in the league. He set several records last season, including the best ever touchdown to interception ratio. He also posted the third best passer rating the game has ever seen, while leading all quarterbacks in the league in 2013.

Head coach Chip Kelly also showed how impressed he was with Foles last season by saying "He's the starting quarterback for the next 1,000 years here". The Eagles offense will certainly be a point of emphasis for opposing teams next season as Kelly proved that he can make defenses fall apart by utilizing every player and formation in the playbook.

It will be fascinating to watch what changes the Eagles make to their offense next season to surprise defenses, as Kelly is known for his creativity. Regardless of the outcome of next season, the Eagles know that they now have their quarterback for the future.
