Rihanna celebrated the USA's heartbreak in the World Cup Sunday night after Cristiano Ronaldo provided the late equaliser for Silvestre Varela to stun US fans around the globe.

But the singer had no sympathy for her natives as she blasted off several tweets that showed her satisfaction at the US demise in the final minute of stoppage time.

After following the World Cup in recent days, Rihanna again tweeted before, during and after a game that she had watched intently.

In preparation for the huge Group G match-up against Portugal, she already fired out a tweet. "This is gonna be good," we were warned. Before an enthralling game had her commenting, "Whew!!! My first breath for the last 95 minutes."

But then came the kicker for all USMNT fans that follow Rihanna on Twitter, as she tweeted just after Portugal made it 2-2. "Thank you Ronaldo for that sweet setup!!! And thank YOU Varela for your timely execution!!" Ouch.

It's not just this latest game that had Rihanna loving the World Cup. England's match-up with Uruguay got her sending out tweets at a record pace.

Who knew she was such a big fan Wayne Rooney, but this tweet when Rooney equalised against Uruguay gives us an idea, "Roooonnnnnnnneeeeeeeyyyyyy."

This tweet has been retweeted 9.9k times so far, but not as much these beauties from the singer when Luis Suarez broke the hearts of England with a late winner last Thursday.

"Ooohhhhhh SHIIIIITTTT!!!!! "Man they know better than to give Suarez much room bruh."

The big question is who is she supporting at the World Cup? Well, it seems for some bizarre reason she is on the side of the Ghana this year.

Barbados born, there isn't a natural alignment for the popstar, but she's found her reason for becoming a Ghanian supporter for the 2014 World Cup. A man crush on a certain midfielder.

Kevin-Prince Boateng is the lucky guy to be given the honor and it seems she's going all out for Prince Boateng during the tournament, according to reports.

Rihanna is not just a lover of the World Cup, she can actually play a fair bit as well. Watch the video below of her on the set of the movie Battleship a couple of years ago and you'll get the idea.
