Louis van Gaal has decided to keep Nicky Butt at Manchester United following talks with Ryan Giggs, according to The Mirror

Giggs, who is Van Gaal's No.2 at Old Trafford, made the new Red Devils boss aware of Butt's work at the club. And now it appears that Butt will stay on at the club, despite a number of back-room changes expected.

Butt, of course, was part of United's famous class of '92 and has been on the coaching staff at the club for the past couple of years, leading the side's reserve team. It now appears then, that along with Giggs, Butt will still be at The Theatre of Dreams under Van Gaal next term.

Changes will take place at Old Trafford, however, with the new Manchester United boss set to bring goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek and Marcel Bout with him after this summer's World Cup.

Manchester United fans will certainly be hoping for an improvement under the regime after a disastrous season under David Moyes. The Red Devils only managed to secure a seventh placed Premier League finish last term, meaning they failed to qualify for a place in this up coming season's Champions League competition.

As mentioned, Butt and Giggs will stay on at Manchester United for the 2014/15 campaign, but it remains to be seen as to whether some of the other legends from the famous youth set up will be at the club next term.

We know what the future holds for Butt and Giggs, but what about Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Gary and Phil Neville? Well, we're going to take a look.
