Jabari Parker's future will be decided in the next few hours. But before the NBA Draft tonight, the former Duke star has at least cemented some certainty over his professional basketball career for the time being, by signing up to be a part of the Jordan brand.

Jordan Genes

No matter where Parker does go,  we now know that he will be the newest member of the group of professional sports athletes that carry the banner of the Jordan brand as he has signed a deal with the company prior to Thursday night’s event.

He confirmed the move himself on Twitter, posting out a picture of some cuff-links that have the Air Jordan symbol on them along with the caption 'Family'. It seems like he will be wearing the gifts tonight after having his name called out by Adam Silver.

With how well Parker is projected to do at the next level, the Jordan brand definitely landed themselves one of the most lucrative clients from this very, very deep draft class here in 2014.

College Quality

Coming out of high school, Parker was one of the most highly touted freshmen in the country for the Duke Blue Devils, and for the most part, he backed up the hype with his play on the court.

In his one and only season with the Blue Devils, Parker averaged 19.1 points per game with 8.7 rebounds. Unfortunately, though, he couldn’t garner himself any tournament success as his Duke team was upset in their first game of the traditional March Madness event.

Future Hope

The youngster is expected to have an excellent career in the NBA, having the potential to make multiple All-Star appearances if things go his way. If he lands himself at the Cleveland Cavaliers number one overall then he has the chance to start straight away. David Blatt's side are set to lose their current small forward Luol Deng to free agency so the spot is there for Parker to step in to.
