The NFL have found themselves very busy with pre-holiday sanctions thus far and have just handed out a hefty suspension to Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill for violating the NFL's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
NFL media insider Ian Rapoport reports that Brazill was once again found guilty of violating the substance policy created by the NFL and will be charged with at least a one year suspension without pay from the league.
Brazill has found himself in trouble with the league many times throughout his short NFL career and has failed multiple drug tests, at the start of the 2013 season Brazill was slapped with a four game suspension after testing positively for Marijuana use.
After his initial suspension, the Colts wide receiver admitted that it was time he made a decision for the good of his career, 'Money or Marijuana', but it seems as though Brazill has slipped up once more and has received a deafening sentence from the NFL.
The wide receiver was a sixth round pick of Indianapolis in the 2012 draft, so far he had found himself primarily used on special teams but his game stepped up in last season's playoff and he garnered some much needed big plays for the franchise.
Due to off-season activity, the Colts have added significant depth to their wide receiving core with additions such as Hakeem Nicks and third round draft pick Donte Moncrief. Therefore it seemed as Brazill would be battling for the lower spots on the wide receiving depth chart.
With other athletic stars ahead of him at his position, Brazill would have to duel in training camp with Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton to mention but a few names.
Now suspended for a year, a reshuffling may be required for the franchise but if they receive some luck with a lack of injuries, Brazill's immaturity and stupidity will not halt the progress of the Indianapolis Colts.
