Real Madrid are preparing to sell off a host players worth a combined €100 million this summer - with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal set to benefit.
Los Blancos look increasingly likely to spend big this summer, and are reportedly close to sealing deals for both Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich and Radamel Falcao from Monaco. Colombian World Cup star James Rodriguez has also been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.
Manchester United benefit
According to Spanish source El Confidiencial the reigning European champions are looking to finance this spree by selling off a host of players. They took a similar approach last year, balancing the books by selling Gonzalo Higuain and Mesut Ozil amongst others to cover the cost of breaking the transfer record for Gareth Bale.
El Confidiencial claim that the likes of Angel di Maria, Sami Khedira and Alvaro Morata will be sold to the highest bidder - and that could bring both Manchester United and Arsenal into the picture.
Angel di Maria has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks and could command a fee of up to €50 million. Under Louis van Gaal, the Red Devils have already slashed some serious cash on Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera - and that trend is expected to continue through the summer. El Confidencial report that Manchester United have been in contact with Real Madrid over the Argentine star, who has been deemed as surplus to requirements in Madrid.
Arsenal meanwhile are believed to have placed Sami Khedira on their transfer hitlist this summer as they look to add a defensive midfielder to their ranks. It was claimed yesterday that Arturo Vidal was their main target, but he's been heavily linked with Manchester United which may mean they turn their attention to the German who could be available for as little as €20 million.
Another player who's been linked with the Gunners is Alvaro Morata. He could well solve their striker crisis, however Juventus' interest remains a problem.
