PSG are ready to spend big money once again to secure Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria and France's new talisman Antoine Griezmann for a potential Champions League tilt next season.
The French Ligue 1 champions are in a deep battle with Manchester United, as both clubs are reportedly ready to spend around £50 million to bring Di Maria to their side.
But the Argentinean is more likely to move to Paris as Champions League football is nowadays a decision maker, something that Manchester United cannot offer to Di Maria after they flopped to 7th in last Premier League season.
PSG boss Lauren Blanc is also looking to strengthen the other flank of the pitch with Real Sociedad's Griezmann after a first bid of around £15 million was rejected, but the Spaniards have valued the 23-year-old winger at £25 million and are not ready to lose him easily.
Thus, after a first unsuccessful approach by PSG to bring Griezmann to their side, a few more clubs have put the youngster on their short-list for this summer transfers with Atletico Madrid, AC Millan, and AS Monaco now showing interest in him.
If they succeed in bringing both wingers to their side, a combined fee of £85 million would have been spent after the transfer of David Luiz from Chelsea for £40 million.
Griezmann used the 2014 Word Cup in Brazil to make his name at the very top, and at just 23 he surely has a promising future to play at the highest level. PSG won Ligue 1 last season with a nine-point gap above runners-up AS Monaco, and are now looking for success in Europe.
Last time round their Champions League campaign was stopped by Jose Mourinho's Chelsea in the quarter-final, losing 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with a 3-1 lead at half-way.
Strengthening both flanks with these signings, Griezmann and Di Maria, would mean that PSG boss Lauren Blanc will have more options around Zlatan Ibrahimovic up-front with the likes of Javier Pastore, Cavani, and Lavezzi now available to play centrally.
