Football News

On Friday, there was the huge announcement that the entire world has been expecting and waiting for all summer, LeBron James returned home and signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Huge news like this is bound to make the world stop and stare but in reality, America reacted several different ways.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas, the betting capital of the world, often used as the standard source for odds on sports in America.

How did Vegas react to LeBron returning home?

Well they instantly made the Cavaliers the favourites to win the 2015 NBA Championship.

Earlier this week, it emerged that more bets had been placed on the Cavaliers to win the Championship than any other team in the NBA just days before the King returned home.

Theirs odds had been slashed by half in most casinos as a result of the large amount of bets and by them now being the favourites, James' return has sent shock waves through the Nevada desert.

Snoop Dogg

Everyone has had something to say over LeBron's return, but perhaps the best quote has come from world famous rapper, Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg, a big LA Lakers fan reacted with the help of their legend, Kobe Bryant by posting a picture of Bryant in the gold and purple with the words: "I never left" on it.

Snoop Dogg's trolling of LeBron is probably the funniest reaction to the deal but the stories do get stranger.

LeBron's novelty T-shirt website

A website selling LeBron t-shirts with the word: "FOR6IVEN" written on it crashed just five minutes after the announcement of his return.

The large amount of cyber traffic resulted in the website breaking and is a clear example that Cleveland has definitely forgiven their King.

Northeast Ohio Media Group

Following the announcement that LeBron was going to be returning, the North-East Ohio Media Group released the front cover of its next edition of the Plain Dealer which is out on Saturday.

Showing a picture of LeBron in a Cleveland shirt with his now popular number six on the front and a quote from James which reads: "In North-East Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I'm ready to accept the challenge. I'm coming home."

Fans outside LeBron's Ohio home

Bit of an anticipation rather than a reaction but the scene outside of LeBron's home in Ohio has been crazy.

Fans have been gathered outside his home and neighbours hosting house parties, police working crowd control, cameras and even a sight seeing tour have all featured.

Eventually, more police assembled outside the property in anticipation of the 3:30 announcement giving the fans a feeling something was happening in Cleveland.

Its unclear what happened, but there was even a car crash outside the house in all the excitement.
