Arsenal are the bookies favourites to land Real Madrid midfield enforcer Sami Khedira. 

Bookmaker Paddy Power have placed the Gunners as the 11/10 favourites to sign the German international in this summer transfer window. The north London outfit have been linked with a move for the £20 million rated superstar for some time now, and it remains to be seen as to whether Gunners boss Arsene Wenger steps up his interest in the World Cup finalist in the near future.

Fans of the Emirates outfit will be hoping the club can secure a deal for the player's services in the near future, as the club look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next term.

The Gunners have already completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, but they are certainly in need of a tough tacking midfielder ahead of the new season.Khedira certainly fits the bill, and would represent a fine signing for the north London side.

However, if Arsenal are going to sign the Real Madrid man, then they may have to compete with Chelsea, who have also been tipped to make a move for the highly rated German in recent time. 

It has been suggested that Mourinho is ready to hijack Arsenal's move for his former player, meaning the Blues could yet add another La Liga star to their squad in this transfer window.
