LeBron James’ decision to return home to the Cleveland Cavaliers continues to send shockwaves through the NBA.
The four-time MVP announced last Friday that he would be leaving the Miami Heat after four years in favor of a return to the franchise with which he began his NBA career.
Heat fans were undoubtedly left upset at the superstar’s decision but were handed some positive news in the aftermath.
Long time teammate Chris Bosh has opted to re-sign with the Miami franchise, agreeing to a five-year deal worth a reported $118 million.
The move will appease some Heat fans, but President Pat Riley will have to move quickly to bring in further quality.
One man who won’t be heading to Miami this offseason however is Carmelo Anthony. The seven-time All-Star revealed last night that he will return to the New York Knicks.
After speaking to the Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers amongst others, Anthony will instead sign a new five-year deal worth around $122 million.
