Dwyane Wade may have recently signed a new extension with the Miami Heat but their chances of an NBA title next season have been drastically reduced since the departure of LeBron James and their may be indications that Wade still feels rather salty about it.
It may have been a harmless expression of his loyalty for the city of Miami but is there a hidden meaning behind Wade's tweet that may have called out his ex-teammate LeBron James?
What does the tweet really mean?
Wade said through his official twitter account: "Home Is Where The Heart Is... My Home,My City,My House..#HeatLifer https://instagram.com/p/qeyAwCFCDy/", alongside the tweet was an image of the Wade deep in focus with the Miami championship banners behind him in the rafters.
Wade will be lifetime member of the Miami Heat and will go down as one of the most influential players in the franchises history, but despite what could be conceived as an innocent tweet, the repeated mentions of Wade's possession of the city may be a parting shot at the King.
It was often discussed who actually was the alpha male in south beach, despite James being considered the best player in the world, Wade was already an established champion in Miami and was reluctant to release his control over the team.
After winning two championships and co-existing in a fruitious environment, the Heat stumbled in last year's final to the San Antonio Spurs and the attempted dynasty was broken up.
Upon James' departure the team's control really does return to Wade and the shooting guard couldn't be more happy, his parting message to James may be that the Miami Heat have been, are, and will aways be Wade's' team.
Skip Bayless of ESPN FirstTake believes the tweet was undoubtably a shot at James, he said: 'I want to be clear about this because it is not a personal shot at LeBron, Wade still loves LeBron like a brother but it is a shot at LeBron for leaving Miami."
The NBA analyst also believes that LeBron's departure will be the reignite the carrer of Wade and his revival will be one of the main talking points of the new NBA season.
New deals for the former-big three
With James leaving Miami for Cleveland the big-three are officially over, Wade and Bosh have elected to stay in Miami but the dynasty that was built around the 'big three' has come to an abrupt end.
All three have signed new contracts with their respective franchises and the money each superstar will earn is astronomical.
James reported deal with his old team the Cleveland Cavaliers is a two year contract worth $41million.
Bosh despite being offered a max deal by the Houston Rockets chose to stay with Miami and signed an incredible 5-year deal worth $118million.
Wade was the final member of the former-big three to sign a new contract for the upcoming season, reaffirming his legacy with the Heat franchise, Wade put pen to paper on contract reported to be worth $31million over two years.
