WWE Battleground: Change to Battle Royal

When British superstar Bad News Barrett was inadvertently injured by Jack Swagger last month in the lead up to Money in the Bank, he was stripped of his Intercontinental Championship and so a Battle Royal is scheduled to take place this Sunday for the gold.

There were 22 superstars involved in the match, but two names have recently been taken out, meaning it will now be a twenty man over the top rope battle royal for the IC Championship with current United States Champion Sheamus still the odds on favourite to win and unify the two mid card titles.

Names involved in the match include, Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, The Great Khali, Rob Van Dam, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Alberto Del Rio, Bo Dallas, Sheamus, Fandango, Sin Cara, Zack Ryder, The Miz, Diego, R-Truth, Xavier Woods, Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil.

The two people who have been removed are Damien Sandow and Adam Rose, due to the on-going rivalry between the two the rumour is that they have been removed so that a match between the pair can take place at the pay-per-view instead.

It is said that Rose still has a lot to prove with the creative staff backstage and is still trying to get Vince McMahon onside and a decent pay-per-view match could be the way for him to do this.

Damien Sandow on the other hand seems to have become a laughing stock, he comes out dressed as a different hated character every week and runs his mouth until someone comes down and knocks him out. Hopefully this won't be the same on Sunday and WWE will put on a good show between the two.

This match has not been announced yet but could be a late addition on the night because the card is always subject to change.

Other matches scheduled to take place include former team mates and brothers Seth Rollins v Dean Ambrose one-on-one, Bray Wyatt v the returning Chris Jericho, The Uso's v Luke Harper and Erick Rowan with the Tag Team titles on the line, The Divas title is on the line as new friends Paige and AJ Lee face off and old friends Cameron and Naomi do battle before the epic conclusion of the night sees Roman Reigns, John Cena, Randy Orton and Kane collide in a fatal four way match for the biggest prize in wrestling, The WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
