When Carmelo Anthony decided to opt out of his contract it sparked a vicious battle between two sides trying to entice the All-Star small forward and his services. No, not NBA sides, but between two rival strip clubs in New York and Chicago.

Strip Club Battles

TMZ Sports spoke to Scores New York when Melo was available and said that if Melo chose to remain with the Knicks, they'll make it worth his while. The Scores New York "Melo Love" package included Free lap dances for life, judging an amateur pole dancing competition, A new drink named after him, a personal cheerleading squad at Knicks games and finally a topless charity basketball game in his honor.

The Admiral Theater in Chicago were Scores main rivals and had their own deal to try and nab the 30-year old to commit to their city. They were offering Anthony a life sized portrait of him with various girls at his feet to be on display in the club forever, a LaLa Anthony lookalike contest, free driver to and from the club forever as well as three dancers who would get his name tattooed on their bodies.

No Thanks

Well, as we all now know, Melo decided to stay in New York with the Knicks. And he gave out some bad news for the NY strip club but good news for his marriage.

When asked by TMZ last night after the ESPYS if he was going to take advantage of the services offered by Scores, Carmelo told the reporter that he must be crazy and that he definitely won't be messing with that stuff.

Melo did say that he would be open to a bit of free pizza action however, but i don't think there are any New York Pizzeria's who are going to be queuing up to offer Anthony pizza judging competitions.
