Manchester United duo Nani and Javier Hernandez both want to leave Old Trafford, according to The Independent.
The report has suggested that both players are ready to move on this summer ahead of the 2014/15 campaign. With Dutch coach Louis van Gaal now in charge at the Theatre of Dreams, it remains to be seen as to whether a number of players move on in this window.
A number of players have already departed Old Trafford under the new regime, with left-back duo Patrice Evra having left for Juventus and Alex Buttner having signed for Russian club Dynamo Moscow.
Experienced duo Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic left Old Trafford following a disastrous 2013/14 campaign, while forward Bebe, who failed to make an impression throughout his United career, has also been offloaded.
It appears, then, that Nani and Hernandez could now follow some of their former teammates out of the Old Trafford exit door, but it remains to be seen as to whether any clubs swoop for the duo in the near future.
Both Nani and Hernandez have struggled at United in recent time. Nani hasn't been able to find his best form in a red shirt for a number of years, and has struggled with injuries of late. In fact, Manchester United's Premier League rivals Arsenal have been linked with the winger's services, but it remains to be seen as to whether the north London outfit step up their interest in the United man.
Hernandez, meanwhile, has struggled to replicate the form he produced in his debut season at Old Trafford. Since Robin van Persie's arrival at United, the Mexican forward has fallen down the pecking order at the club, having to also battle the likes of Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck for first-team opportunities.
It's uncertain as to whether Van Gaal will allow the duo to leave the club in this market, but he will certainly be hoping to improve United ahead of the new season. The Red Devils have already landed Spanish ace Ander Herrera and left-back Luke Shaw, but United fans will be hoping for at least a couple more additions before next month's big kick-off.
Van Gaal's immediate focus, however, will turn to his side's third pre-season clash this evening, as United take on Italian outfit Inter Milan in Washington DC.
