James Harden's beard is one of the most recognisable pieces of facial hair in the sports world and his unique look has inspired an artist to create this rather interesting piece of work.

Artist Filip Peraic came up with this unusual design of James Harden using only real hair, influenced by the Rocket's shooting guard's trademark beard, Peraic had to "enter the creep zone and ask barber for some hair" according to

The similarity to the NBA superstar truly is brilliant and the 24-year-old has inspired many other pieces of Peraic's work, the artist has compiled many different sketches utilising a singular angle of Harden and you can check out some of the other designs on the official website. showcases the best work of Periac and his bearded profiles.

You have to admire the lengths the artist would go to create his masterpiece, slumming it to collect hair off a barbers floor in order to finish his James Harden-inspired piece.

Harden has been in the news for many other reasons recently, not for the good either.

The shooting guard isn't currently with the US men's basketball team as they resume training camp, however Harden has made headlines over his comments regarding the departure of former teammate Chandler Parsons.

Not only did Harden take some passing shots at Parsons who left for the Dallas Mavericks, but may have disgruntled some of his current teammates in the process.

Harden claimed that he and center Dwight Howard are the cornerstones of the Houston Rockets roster and the rest of his teammates are role players who are there to fill a specific need on the team.

Rather damning statement from Harden who is supposed to be considered one of the leaders of the Rocket's squad, he may have some explaining to do to his fellow pro's.
