The cult classic Sharknado struck gold in the Syfy section upon its release and the positive response to the horror film unceremoniously turned comedy has inspired the sequel that has been recently announced, 'Sharknado 2: The Second One'.

Inventive title we know, anyway the fan favourite movie despite its dive-bomb in the ratings has never lost its popularity with the general public and more profile actors have clamoured to appear in the second of the films series.

The film is of shark-tornado hybrid which causes havoc, the epic science-fiction film has its eyes set for New York and in particular its beloved Mets.

The fans of the Mets are very much affected in the second instalment of the bizarre shark-tornado concept when Citi Field gets caught in the storm created meaning the game scheduled has to be postponed and the stadium is evacuated.

Twitter has already gone crazy over the confirmed release of a sequel to the much loved first film, even SportsNation an american sports-related television programme took to its official twitter account to simply tweet:

The tweet was accompanied alongside a picture of host Michelle Beadle who is in full support of the movie franchise.
