Football News

Pre-season is a time for players and clubs alike to start afresh.

Blocking out the memories of the previous campaign, it is an opportunity for those who may not enjoy stellar reputations to knuckle down and work hard to prove that they are more than worthy of consideration ahead of the new season.

Already this summer, we have been treated to several top friendly performances from players previously thought to be on the fringes of their respective squads in the Premier League.

New managers

For more than one of these players, the introduction of a new manager to proceedings makes their return to form all the more important.

Where they may have been regarded as second, third or even fourth-string options under previous regimes, the fresh lease of life that inevitably comes with new leadership and a different approach could really help kickstart their careers.
