Christian Horner has admitted that Red Bull will only be able to rival Merccedes in the third race after the summer break in Singapore.

Riccardo hopes for an interesting race at Spa

However Hungarian Grand Prix winner Daniel Riccardo hopes that the unpredictability of the race in Belgium will make the race interesting, telling Sky Sports “I think that in pure dry conditions, Mercedes still have a pretty significant edge on everyone else.

“Spa, it’s a pretty good place to start the second half of the year. Maybe the weather and the changes they have there could create something exciting.”

Red Bull are currently 175 points behind Mercedes in second in the Constructors Championship. Riccardo sits in third place in the Drivers' Championship, 71 points behind leader Nico Rosberg on 131 points.
