Chelsea transfer news: Drogba injury could force Mourinho back into transfer market

Jose Mourinho could be forced back into the transfer market to recruit another striker after Didier Drogba limped off with an ankle injury less than half an hour into his first start since rejoining Chelsea this summer. The Blues came from behind to beat Ferencvaros 2-1 in a friendly on Sunday but were dealt a blow when the Ivorian was forced off midway through the first half. Drogba is now set to miss Chelsea's Premier League opener against Burnley on Saturday, and leaves Mourinho short on options in attack with Diego Costa and Fernando Torres the only strikers fit for selection.
