Italian giants Inter Milan could leave Fredy Guarin out of their Europa League squad, according to the Express.

The report has suggested that the Serie A outfit are ready to offload the midfielder for £14 million in this transfer window, amid interest from Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham.

Inter overhaul

It appears, then, that Inter's overhaul looks set to continue, as the club look to improve upon last season's showing. And, with the report suggesting that Guarin won't be part of the club's squad list to take on Stjarnan in the Europa League, it appears that his days at Inter are numbered.

However, the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham could have a battle on their hands in pursuit of the midfielder, with a number of other clubs also interested in his services. The same report has suggested that Inter's Italian rivals Juventus are also interested in Guarin, with the likes of Rubin Kazan, Dynamo Moscow and Wolfsburg also lurking.

Spurs ahead?

The same report has suggested that Tottenham could lead the chase, with United still interested in landing Arturo Vidal from Juventus. It appears that new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add to his options in the midfield department, as the Lilywhites look to progress in 2014/15.

Tottenham will be desperate to claim a Champions League place next term, and the club would love to land someone in the calibre of Guarin in this window.

United in need

Manchester United fans will certainly be hoping that Dutch boss Louis van Gaal will improve the club in the centre of the park ahead of the 2014/15 campaign. The Red Devils' midfielders struggled for consistency last term, with the likes of Tom Cleverley, Marouane Fellaini and Co. failing to make an impact in the David Moyes era.

The Dutchman has already landed Spanish star Ander Herrera in this transfer window, but another midfield deal could be on the cards in the near future after Michael Carrick's injury. Guarin, then, would offer United another option in midfield, as he could play the box-to-box role at the Theatre of Dreams.

It remains to be seen, however, as to whether Manchester United step up their interest in the 28-year-old, but £14m certainly seems a fair price for the talented midfielder.
