Manchester United's deal to bring Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal to Old Trafford could be close after Javier Hernandez's agent revealed that there will be news soon regarding a potential swap deal with his client.

This has been reported by The Metro, who have suggested that the Red Devils have offered a huge £36 million plus the Mexican ace for the services of the Chilean World Cup star.

News on the way

It appears, then, that Javier Hernandez could finally be on his way out of the Theatre of Dreams after enduring a difficult spell with the club. Chicharito has struggled for opportunities at the club since the arrival of Robin van Persie, and it now appears that he could join former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez in Turin.

It remains to be seen, however, as to whether the Red Devils agree a deal with Juventus over the potential swap deal involving the forward, but Eduardo Hernandez has revealed that news is imminent.

Speaking to reporters in South America, Eduardo Hernandez said: "For now I cannot comment on the situation.

"I have no news at the moment on an exchange, I haven't spoken to anyone in England, but there will be news soon."

If Hernandez is sold, then Manchester United won't be short of fire power, with new United boss Louis van Gaal still having the likes of van Persie, Danny Welbeck and new captain Wayne Rooney at his disposal.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Vidal for some time, and United fans will be desperate for the club to land another midfielder before the close of the transfer window.

The Red Devils have already landed Spanish ace Ander Herrera this summer after the club's disastrous campaign under David Moyes. United's midfielders all struggled for consistency last term, with the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Tom Cleverley and Co. failing to make an impact.

And, with Michael Carrick out for the start of the new season, Vidal would certainly give the club a major boost as they go in search of success under the new regime. The middle of the park has proved a problem area for United for some time now, but the arrival of Vidal would certainly improve things at Old Trafford.
