Formula E's electric cars prepare for debut

Published Add your comment

Donington Park hosted the seventh and final Formula E testing event on Tuesday, ahead of the first-ever championship race in Beijing next month. Formula E is a new FIA championship featuring Formula cars powered exclusively by electric energy - and the inaugural race will be held next month in China's capital. Some of the driver's names will be very familiar to motor sport fans, none more so than Senna and Prost. Bruno Senna, nephew of the late Formula One driver Ayrton will be racing for Indian team Mahindra Racing and is excited by the novelty of a new racing format. With Prost's son, Nicolas, riding for e.dams, the offering of a new Prost/Senna battle would go a long way to publicising the first electric powered cars series which begins in less than a month.
