Jamie Carragher was put under serious scrutiny after meeting some young Liverpool fans yesterday (Wednesday).

Whilst signing a few autographs, a young Irish Liverpool supporter, probably soon to be comedian, asked the Reds legend: “Did you even get bitten by Luis Suarez?”

Laugh & move on

Carragher responded pretty well to the questioning, bursting out into laughter before hinting the youngster might become an internet hit.

“You’ll be a YouTube sensation mate,” said the cameraman, who caught the champagne moment.

He couldn’t have been more correct, as the video has already amassed well over 210,000 views. For the record, the former defender did not answer the question.

Carragher took to Twitter to respond to the video that is currently going viral by saying: “Glad everyone seems to have enjoyed the Luis Suarez bite video but credit to Jocky @AnfieldFM for catching the moment."

A Suarez promise

Luis Suarez will be thankful Carragher denied the allegation after his recent pledge to fans of new club Barcelona.

He told the Catalan faithful that he would never bite anyone again and that he is seeing professionals about the matter after three high-profile incidents - one in the Eredivisie, one in the Premier League and one at the World Cup.

Lets hope these doctors aren’t beautifully seasoned and dressed in a perfectly balanced sauce, otherwise Suarez could be in trouble.
