WWE legend Hulk Hogan is set to star in an upcoming comedy movie by WWE Studios which has the working title "Untitled Celebrity Death Pool."

Famous Faces

Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hogan has been cast alongside the likes of David Hasselhoff as well as Ken Jeong of 'The Hangover' fame.

In addition, an increasing number of well-known celebrities have signed up for various supporting and cameo roles in the movie, including those who have previously appeared on Monday Night Raw.

It is rumoured that Jeong is to take the lead role which focuses on a struggling nightclub owner who after amassing a large debt from a loan shark, aims to win his long-running celebrity death pool by trying to kill his chosen celebrity, David Hasselhoff.

WWE Studios President, Michael Luisi will produce the comedy alongside Hasselhoff as well as representatives from Hyde Park International and Image Nation.

This will be the second recent comedy project from WWE Studios, coming after last year's announcement of "The Fall Guy" which sees Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson starring.

WWE Studios

WWE Studios have created many successful movie projects of a variety of genres, most notably action and horror.

These have seen the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton, who played the lead in 12 Rounds and 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded respectively, as well as The Miz who appeared in The Marine 3: Homefront.

Kane has been the more prominent wrestler in WWE's production of horror movies, having taken the lead role in See No Evil and See No Evil 2.

Given their undeniably expert acting abilities, it comes as no surprise that several WWE Superstars turn to movie roles when they desire a change of direction in their career.

The Rock, who in 2013 was named the highest-grossing actor, made the transition look easy and has gone on to have global success in movies such as The Mummy Returns and, more recently, Hercules.

Preparation for "Untitled Celebrity Death Pool" begins next month in Los Angeles, with its release in theatres rumoured to be sometime in 2015.
