Manchester City striker Álvaro Negredo is a target for Real Madrid according to the Mirror. The Catalans have asked about taking the Spaniard on loan as they look to bolster their striking options.

Negredo is currently out injured and with the form of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetić it remains to be seen if the striker can force his way back into the first team squad.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was asked recently during a press conference about interest from other clubs in the striker. He responded: “For the moment there is no news about that, for Negredo or anybody. We are not receiving any offers for any players."

“At this moment he is part of our squad and we are not trying to sell him and nobody has given an important offer, maybe one month ago some Spanish clubs had an interest in him but that was one month ago." he added.

Manchester City face Stoke this weekend as they look to continue a 100% win rate in the Premier League on their way to retaining the Premier League title.
