Chelsea transfer round-up: Cech stays at Stamford Bridge

Published Add your comment

Chelsea may not have had as nail-biting a transfer deadline day as some of their closest Premier League rivals, but they definitely did their fair share of business over the course of the summer. In total 29 players were either loaned out, sold or released by Jose Mourinho, as The Special One attempts to restructure his squad with a view to challenging for the title. The bulk of the attention yesterday focused on Petr Cech’s future at Stamford Bridge, with the Czech international hotly linked with a move to QPR. However the long-serving stopper remained with the Blues past the 11pm deadline, meaning he’ll now stay until at least January.
