This week on NXT we saw the final of the tag-team championship tournament as Kalisto and Sin Cara took on The Vaudevillians, whilst Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville were also in action in the go-home edition of NXT for Takeover II.

Last week on NXT William Regal was announced as the new General Manager and agreed to a blockbuster main event match for Takeover II, where Adrian Neville will defend his NXT Championship in a Fatal 4 Way match against Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn.

The Ascension picked up another win whilst Bayley and Bull Dempsey also picked up big wins. In the main event Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn teamed up in a losing effort against Tyler Breeze and Tyson Kidd.

In the go home show for NXT Takeover II the finals take place whilst all four men of the main event match take part in singles action; the night starts with a match for the NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte.

Match One: Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte

It’s a non-title match as Charlotte warms up for her championship match with Bayley at Takeover II so already you know which way this match is going to go. Bliss did get some good offense in this short match but rolled through a power bomb into a sunset flip for two; only to walk into ‘Bow Down To The Queen’ to give Charlotte the victory.

Result: Charlotte defeats Alexa Bliss.

Bayley is out after the match and tells the champion that it is about time she is taken seriously, because she will seriously take the championship from her at Takeover II before offering a handshake. Charlotte snubs the handshake and tries to leave but it is the challenger who comes off looking stronger before the special event, Charlotte walking into a Bayley to Belly suplex.

Before the second match of the night, Tyler Breeze tells the fans that he will be walking out of Takeover II as the new NXT Champion simply because he looks better than everyone else.
The news every die-hard wrestling fan has been waiting for, KENTA will be making his debut on NXT next week – and will continue using the name KENTA.

Sin Cara and Kalisto tell everyone that they have a great chance of defeating The Vaudevillians tonight and are capable of defeating The Ascension as they have the heart to do so.

Match Two: Tyler Breeze vs. Tye Dillinger

The first of the four men competing in the Fatal 4 Way match at Takeover is in action against Tye Dillinger in another short match. Dillinger takes the advantage early on but Tyler Breeze shows off the mean streak he possesses before connecting with the Beauty Shot for the victory.

Result: Tyler Breeze defeats Tye Dillinger

Tyson Kidd is backstage and says that he will capture the NXT Championship because he has been around the world and is cocky and arrogant, but he backs it up and has the right to be.
A comedy skit next with Enzo Amore and Big Cass who are at a beauty salon and go to look for some hair removal cream for Enzo’s hair vs. hair match against Sylvester Lefort at Takeover II.

Match Three: Adam Rose vs. Tyson Kidd

Another attempt to make Kidd, Breeze, Neville and Zayn look strong before their big match at Takeover II so they all head in with momentum and it’s difficult to pick a winner. This match outcome was obvious however as Kidd fought back against Rose to lock in the Sharpshooter leaving Rose no choice but to submit.

Result: Tyson Kidd defeats Adam Rose

Sami Zayn’s turn to say why he wants to become champion, and he simply says because Adrian Neville is the champion.

Match Four: Marcus Louis vs. Sami Zayn

One half of The Legionnaires taking on Sami Zayn and Marcus Louis looked very strong in the early stages of the short match, but as expected Sami Zayn fought back, taking Louis down and locking in the impressive Koji Clutch for another submission victory.

Result: Sami Zayn defeats Marcus Louis.

After the match Enzo Amore and Big Cass attempt to put the hair removal cream on Sylvester Lefort but he escapes before they can.

Adrian Neville up next and says he knows he doesn’t have to be pinned or even tap out to lose his gold, but he loves the challenge regardless.

Match Five: Adrian Neville vs. CJ Parker

CJ Parker gave it his best to convince he was going to defeat the champion but all four men involved in the Fatal 4 Way match at Takeover II picked up wins as he capitalized on Parker missing a top rope splash, only to hit the Red Arrow for the win.

Result: Adrian Neville defeats CJ Parker

Main Event (NXT Tag Team Championship Tournament Final): The Vaudevillians vs. Kalisto and Sin Cara

After weeks of going through tag team matches it came down to The Vaudevillians and Sin Cara and Kalisto for the opportunity to face The Ascension for the NXT Tag Team Championships at Takeover II.

Both teams gave it their all in a good tag team match but the masked men were too good for The Vaudevillians this time round, Simon Gotch walking into the Salida Del Sol followed up by a Swanton Bomb by Sin Cara for the win; The Ascension defend the gold against Kalisto and Sin Cara at Takeover II.

After the match The Ascension do appear as expected and have a stare down with their opponents to close the show.

Result: Kalisto and Sin Cara defeat The Vaudevillians
