Floyd Mayweather announces retirement plans

Floyd Mayweather has revealed that he plans on retiring from boxing next year.

The unbeaten, pound-for-pound king of the ring has said that a fight in September 2015 will be his last.

Mayweather is halfway through a deal with Showtime that will see him be paid more than $200 million dollars for just six fights.

His fourth of those fights is coming up this Saturday against Marcos Maidana, a rematch of the May bout that Mayweather by a decision.

The two fighters spoke about the upcoming bout to reporters yesterday, with Mayweather telling us to expect fireworks, while Maidana knows he has what it takes to win….

So Money Mayweather only has two big fights left in his career, the fans will want to see him take on Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan in two Mega-Fights to draw his illustrious career to a close, but we’ll have to wait and see for what we actually get from the Welterweight Champion.
