The tournament has also served as an opportunity for returning star Derrick Rose to prove his fitness meanwhile after an injury-hit couple of years that have seen his action in the NBA severely limited, but that doesn’t mean the Chicago Bulls man is taking the game lightly with the chance to reach the final of the international tournament on the line.

Rose explained to reporters that Team USA were focusing on their defense ahead of the game, stating that he was confident that the offensive talent on the roster would take care of the scoring at the other end of the court.
