He may not be the biggest name in the league, nor was his trade this summer the biggest deal that happened, but LA Lakers Point Guard Jeremy Lin is loving life in the NBA.

Those who know Lin or at least who follow him on Instagram will already know him as somewhat of a practical joker.

His mother is a common target for his jokes and even though he is a long way from the Bam Margera level of parental torture, he has fun at her expense.

There are some very entertaining prank videos on Lin's Instagram page including him slamming a pie in his mothers face.

He also utilizes a dunk prank video in which he gets his friends to hold up basketball hoops in front of both strangers and family members and then Lin dunks on them.

But Lin's newest prank is one that has earned him a lot of praise from his fans after he both scares and excites them.

He may of only traded to the Lakers this off-season but the Madam Tussauds in San Francisco already has a wax figure of him in the gold and purple.

So Lin decided to take a trip in and dress in his full Lakers uniform and play his best ever game of statues to try and catch a few people out.

Varying from trying to grab people posing for pictures to just lifting his head up and smiling during a picture, Lin provides fans with some added fun.

It is good to see some sports stars enjoying their off-season break and Lin is spending it wisely by trying to bond with his new fans.

A big season ahead

Lin sealed a free agency trade to the Lakers earlier this summer having previously played for the Houston Rockets for two years.

It has been a crucial off-season for the Lakers after they had their NBA season in recent years in 2013/14.

The Lakers went 27-55 through the season, finishing 15th in the Western Conference and failing to make the play-offs.

Lin will be hoping that he can help the Lakers to a winning record this coming season and possibly even a return to the post-season.
