Tomorrow also marks the debut of many new Premier League signings, after a very busy transfer deadline day saw numerous deals pushed through.
While most eyes will be on Manchester United who will look to prove their worth after their massive signings, Arsenal fans will be looking no further than their own backyard.
The Welbeck transfer
Danny Welbeck, a man with a lot of potential, but a shaky past, is set to start in the Arsenal squad. The 23-year-old will be set to start down the middle, a direct replacement for the injured Olivier Giroud.
Giroud, Arsenal’s first choice striker, is out until January with an injury picked up in his side's last domestic match. However a lot of controversy surrounds the new Arsenal player following his previous career in Manchester.

The right option?
Van Gaal told the press during a transfer deadline day press conference that Welbeck did not score enough goals, and thus had to be let go.
Arsenal fans, who spent the summer dreaming of names like Falcao, will be more than disappointed to hear that their front man has trouble scoring goals. That being said, Welbeck has proven that all he needs is a real opportunity.
During his last England match, against Switzerland in the European qualifiers, he scored a brace, which shows that he can cut it if given the chances.
Hitting the ground running
Welbeck will hopefully be flying into Saturday's match against Manchester City with confidence and motivation, and aiming to do do the Gunners proud.
He has already stated to the press that he will score the goals Arsenal need, so let's just wait and hope.
Whether or not he was just a desperation signing to replace Giroud, or an name chosen in a rush while the manager was in Rome, we won't ever really know, but he can always prove to us and the world that he deserves his starting place.
