Chelsea news: Van Ginkel happy with 'best choice' move to AC Milan

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel insists AC Milan was the best place for him to continue his development after moving to San Siro from Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old Dutchman was farmed out by Jose Mourinho to gain more regular first-team football as he looks to continue his recovery from the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered last season. With competition for places at an all-time high in west London Van Ginkel's best bet was to join Milan on a temporary deal, and cited the Serie 'A' giants' relentless insistence on signing him as the reason he chose to go there.
