NFL predictions: Week 2 late Sunday and Monday games

Who will win in week 2 of the NFL's late Sunday and Monday night games?

Seahawks @ Chargers – SEAHAWKS WIN

If the Chargers offensive didn't look great against the Cardinals in week one it is an iron lock that it won't move the chains much against the Seahawks. Arguably, the more interesting part of this match is whether Phillip Rivers follows Aaron Rodger's lead and refuses to throw the ball in the direction of Richard Sherman or whether he makes Sherman do some work for this money. Either way Seattle take the W.

Chiefs @ Broncos – BRONCOS WIN

The Chiefs offensive line sucks. Andy Reid has no targets to throw other than Jamaal Charles and the defense is missing key players through injury.

The Broncos meanwhile have few if any injury concerns and well are the Broncos. Manning is going to run riot against a weak Chiefs defense whose secondary looks pitiful.

Texans @ Raiders – RAIDERS WIN

The Raiders have got to win at least a couple of games this season and the week two match-up against the Texans at home is their best chance to register a win this season.

With this in mind and because, Derek Carr does not look awful as a starting QB I'm going to tentatively give the Raiders the win and just hope that J.J. Watts doesn't go Wolverwine on the Raiders offensive line and make my prediction look ridiculous.

Bears @ 49ers – 49ERS WIN

A strong team on the road would struggle to beat a team of the 49ers quality let alone
when they are inaugurating a new stadium. The Bears however, don't look like a strong team. Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall are doubts to play whilst on the other side of the ball the defense seems incapable of stopping the run. Frank Gore and Carlos Hyde look set to stomp all over the Bears defense like Super Mario when he eats a mushroom and goes giant.

Rams @ Buccaneers – RAMS WIN

They may not have a QB but the Rams front seven is going to get beyond the Buccaneers Swiss cheese offensive line and get McCown scrambling. Combine this
with the Rams running game and St Louis should have enough to squeeze out a win.

Jets @ Packers – PACKERS WIN

The Jets labored mightily to beat the Raiders in week 1 whilst the Packers got smashed
by Lynch and the Legion of Boom in Seattle. Aaron Rodgers and co will be out for vengeance. The Jets are going to get crushed in a blowout.

Eagles @ Colts – EAGLES WIN

It will be close as Andrew Luck is a great QB but the Eagles will triumph. Philadelphia's biggest question mark is the offensive line. Right tackle Allen Barbre and left guard Evan Mathis picked up injuries last week whilst 2013 first round draft pick Lane Johnson is suspended meaning that pass protection and run blocking might be compromised.

However, the Colts pass rush is non-existent meaning they wont be able to exploit this weakness. The Eagles then will just edge a shoot out with their superior rushing attack of McCoy and Sproles making the difference.
