WWE: NXT star set to team with The Miz

Football News

It’s safe to say fans weren’t too impressed when The Miz returned to the WWE after completing the filming of The Marine 4, and they definitely weren’t happy when he became the Intercontinental Champion.

They’re probably happier now, especially since Dolph Ziggler finally got his hands on a championship and defeated The Miz in the process.

New gimmick

The Miz returned with a new gimmick, rather than preaching how awesome he is down our throats, he reminds us that he is a huge movie star and how valuable his ‘money maker’ really is and even though some fans haven’t really embraced the gimmick, The Miz is doing a wonderful job of keeping the fans entertained; such as his antics to avoid getting hit in the face during his matches.

Even though fans haven’t – and probably won’t – embrace The Miz or his gimmick any time soon, it doesn’t look as if the WWE are planning on dropping this gimmick.
In fact, they are taking it a step further as Wrestlezone have reported that they are planning to add another WWE superstar to The Miz’ entourage.

Damien Sandow posts cryptic comments about his future

Currently it is Damien Sandow who is posing as The Miz’ stunt double and sometimes even takes his place during his matches. Sandow – or Mizdow – has been following The Miz around everywhere and for now it looks as if he is sticking to one character rather than switching from celebrity to celebrity.

New partner

So, just who is this rumoured new member of The Miz’ entourage? NXT superstar Tyler Breeze has been picked as the superstar with a very similar gimmick to The Miz who could be joining him.

Tyler Breeze is just as arrogant as The Miz, if not more and if the rumours are true then it wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Not all main roster debuts for NXT stars go smoothly, Big E. has fallen down the ranks whilst Adam Rose will probably be considered the worst NXT graduate of all time. But for Tyler Breeze this would be a perfect way to join The Miz, side by side and under his guidance he will be able to make the fans go against him and that could eventually propel him to a big role on the main roster.

Perfect mentor

Obviously there are going to be question marks on whether Tyler Breeze could cut it out in a team as his gimmick doesn’t really revolve around a partner, because he basically dislikes everyone; but if anyone can help him to make it work then right now The Miz is the perfect superstar to do so.

If it does happen then I still would expect Damien Sandow to stay with The Miz, because let’s face it for Sandow this is already the lowest of the low. But for Tyler Breeze this could be the perfect way to introduce him properly to the main roster fans.

WWE and NXT fans – what do you think? Should Tyler Breeze partner The Miz on the main roster? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
