Formula E will run a shorten Monaco layout on May 9 2015. The track will not include many famous corners such as Casino Square, Lowes Hairpin and the Nouvelle Chicane.
According to our sources we believe that the layout has been changed in order to stop people from making a comparison between Formula One lap times and Formula E times around the circuit
Alejandro Agag has revealed plans for a 1.2-mile circuit that would turn sharp right after the start-finish straight at Ste Devote and creating a hairpin at the Nouvelle Chicane.
"It is going to be a very good layout, about two kilometers [1.2 miles]," said Agag.
As it stand Monaco is not on the calendar for the following season as the date will clash with the Monaco Historic Grand Prix. However Alejandro Agag is in talks with Paris about bringing Formula E to the streets of the capital.
"We are having discussions on which I can't go into detail," explained Agag.
"I am very optimistic about having a race in Paris in season two and if we have a race in Paris, I would like that race to be the first one of the season."
