The agent of Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj has insisted that his client is not seeking a loan move away from Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old is the brightest prospect to emerge from the Manchester United youth academy for some time, and he burst onto the the scene last season where he made 27 appearances and scored four goals.

Frozen out

This time round he's been frozen out somewhat under new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, and hasn't been selected to start a Premier League game this season. The fact that the Red Devils spent £150 million over the summer on attacking talent has not helped Januzaj's case, and earlier this week former Manchester United ace Keith Gillespie suggested that he should consider leaving the club.

Somewhat inevitably reports soon followed suggesting that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford on a temporary basis at least. Paris Saint-Germain were previously linked with the youngster before he decided to pen a new contract with Manchester United.

However his agent has been quick to nip the speculation in the bud, insisting that he has no plans to leave Old Trafford any time soon.

"It is indeed only speculation and in particular some stories have been crazier than others," he told Voetbal Nieuws. "However, I can be very clear. Januzaj does not have any problems at Manchester United."

That will come as reassuring news for Manchester United fans who have grown frustrated at Januzaj's limited role so far this term. The Belgian international offered a timely reminder of his potential by bagging a hat-trick in Manchester United's U21 fixture against Sunderland in mid-week with Van Gaal presence.

Januzaj will hope that Van Gaal is true to his reputation for blooding young payers early. He handed debuts to the likes of Thomas Muller and Andres Iniesta during his time at Bayern Munich and Barcelona and may well give him a chance to shine this weekend. That would be the perfect response to the rumours and would help put them to bed - although Van Gaal may be reluctant to mix things up.

Manchester United travel to Leicester on Sunday as they look to make it two wins in a row following their 4-0 victory over QPR last time round.
