Last week the Baltimore Ravens fans were put through a lot at the hands of their former Runningback Ray Rice.
Not all days were bad though as the Ravens also starred on Thursday night football and came out with a big victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Baltimore took on their close divisional rival and overcame with relevant ease in their first match since Rice was officially released.
Prior to the match however, ESPN had done some interviews with Ravens fans outside of M&T Bank Stadium and found some interesting views on the Rice situation.
They found, to their surprise that not all Baltimore fans had lost faith in their former player and in fact, some were going to the game in their Rice jersey.
They found that a fair few Ravens fans had not forsaken their former star and some even thought he should be given a second chance.
Well after Rice was officially released from the organization, it didn't take long for the Ravens to promise fans that they could exchange their Rice Jerseys for new ones.
That exchange came today as we saw thousands of Ravens fans queuing up to have their jerseys of the disgraced Runningback exchanged.
As seen above, the fans waited in a line which was nothing short of enormous in order to have their jerseys changed.
So perhaps not all Ravens fans are behind Rice as previously suggested but there are clearly some who still have faith in their former Runningback.
An unexpected series of events
It has been almost two weeks since the video of Ray Rice physically abusing his wife was released online and so much has happened in that time.
Rice was dropped by the Ravens that suspended indefinitely by the NFL - a decision he is now contesting.
More interesting is the ramifications Rice's actions have had on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Goodell is under unrelenting pressure from people demanding he step down as Commissioner due to his initial handling of the Rice fiasco.
As of yet, Goodell has still to step down, and he today reiterated that he has no intentions of doing so.
Who knows what will happen with the Rice situation before it is all said and done but one thing made clear from today, the Baltimore Ravens fans have turned against their former Runningback.
