Manchester City

J. Hart 6 - A solid day at the office for Hart, not a great deal to do

V. Kompany  6 - Was pumped up and led the team well and also kept Costa largely quiet, but got caught out a few times. Must try and avoid acting on impulse.

P. Zabaleta 4 - Got drawn into a battle with Diego Costa and came off worse; sent off for two bookable offences.

A. Kolarov 6 - Stayed strong in a game where defence was on top. Substituted .

E. Mangala 7 - A polished performance from the French youngster. Strong and composed in such a big match.

J. Milner 8 - The man for any occasion, Millner always produces the goods and he was particularly effective today. Good cross for Lampard's goal.

David Silva 6 - Tried to get things going but found very little space to operate in. Has been subdued for a few games now.

Y. Touré 5 - Did he respond to his critics after his performance against Bayern Munich? Erm, no.

Fernandinho 6 - Should have got on the scoresheet in the first half, but overall a strong performance.

S. Agüero 5 - A quiet day at the office for the Argentinian. Seems he is still searching for full fitness.

E. Džeko - 5 - Not a game for strikers to shine. Substituted

T. Courtois 6 - Not a lot he could about Lampard's equaliser

J. Terry - 7 Produced a key block at the end and was strong all day.

G. Cahill - 6 - Solid rather than spectacular.

B. Ivanović 7 - He's been one of Chelsea's best players this season and he continues to look strong.

Azpilicueta 6 - He's keeping new-boy Filipe Luis on the bench, and today he showed why.

Fàbregas 6 - Not his best game by a long way but did ok.

Willian 6 - As ever a willing runner and a hard worker, needs to add a bit of sparkle to his game. Subbed.

Ramires 6 - Another hard worker who busts a gut for his team, he put in a shift today. Subbed.

N. Matić 8 - A superb performance from the mighty midfielder especially given that he was booked early on.

E. Hazard 7 - Played a key role in Schurrle's opener and was a threat throughout.

Diego Costa 7 - He didn't score but battled gamely, will certainly know he's been in a battle when he goes to bed this evening. Subbed.
