Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners favourites to land PSG star Adrien Rabiot

Arsenal have put themselves in pole position to land rising Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot, and a meeting has been scheduled for both clubs to discuss the possible transfer, according to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio. The future of the 19-year-old midfielder has been a source of controversy for almost a year now, with the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, recently admitting that the player wanted to leave the Parc des Princes. It was initially Roma who were said to be favourites to clinch his signature, with the Italian giants keen to keep their options open should midfield lynchpin Kevin Strootman leave the club. However it would appear that Arsene Wenger is desperate to get his man, and will use all of his guile in the transfer market to ensure that Rabiot ends up in north London, not Italy.
