Transfer News: Liverpool and Chelsea to battle it out for Andre Ayew

Published Add your comment

Liverpool and Chelsea are set to fight it out to determine the future of Marseille winger Andre Ayew in the near future, as reports in France claim that it’s virtually assured he will leave Ligue 1. Despite his club initially fighting tooth and nail to get him to put pen to paper on a new deal it would appear that they have now resigned themselves to losing him and, if they can’t sell him in January, are happy to let him go for free next summer. Ayew, who performed admirably for Ghana at the World Cup in Brazil, has long been on the radar at both Anfield and Stamford Bridge and, with him unlikely to cost very much at all, could be in line for a big move to the Premier League.
