It's been nearly six months since The Undertaker has graced the ring. His defeat to Brock Lesnar left him with a 21-1 record in wrestlings biggest event.

In all seriousness, he was left with much more than a record. Serious head injuries sustained in the match lead many to believe that the fight against Lesnar would be his last.

The Rumors

However, according to Wrestling Zone fans could be set to get another taste of the Taker. At a charity marathon in Texas yesterday he told fans not to rule him out of appearing at Wrestlemania 31.

Also, another hint of the Taker's potential return, was the picture that emerged of him gracing a mobile billboard promoting Wrestlemania 31

The WWE have used billboards to stoke up excitement and rumors before so don't be reading too much into this. Recently they lead people to believe that Smackdown was returning to thursday nights before keeping it on Friday night.

Potential opponents if he were to return

Sting - This has been a match up that many fans have wanted for years and Sting himself has said many times that he fancies taking on the Taker. Also, both men are in the last stages of their careers so if this match up were to take place it would have to take place at Wrestlemania 31.

Brock Lesnar - A rematch against the man who ended his 21 match unbeaten run at Wrestlemania would be many of the fans pick, and if they could put on a show like they did at Wrestlemania 30 then it would be hard to look past this as a match up. However, Lesnar is the current WWE Champion and unless he surrenders the title between now and April it would be hard to pitch the Undertaker for a title fight after a year out of the sport.

I'll reiterate my point earlier; don't read too much into the rumors. You are likely to hear them from now until Wrestlemania season rolls around however, you can be forgiven for getting slightly excited about the potential return of a true legend.

What are your thoughts? Would you like to see the 'deadman' back in action at Wrestlemania 31?
