Bray Wyatt hints at showdown with Sting

A WrestleMania match between The Undertaker and Sting is one the fans have been wanting to happen for many years now.

Dream match

As each WrestleMania passes, it looks more and more unlikely that the two legends will actually come face to face inside the ring. Sting has recently signed a merchandise deal with the WWE which allows the company to sell his merchandise whilst he will also be featured in the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game.

During the roster reveal for the video game – and numerous times before that event – Sting has been vocal about competing in the WWE, maintaining that he has one more match left in the tank at 55 years of age.

As expected, he continues to mention The Undertaker as the man he wants to face, even if there is no streak on the line. Triple H and John Cena are other names that have been mentioned in the last few months as to who Sting would prefer to compete against in what could be his one and only match with the WWE.

Everyone is well aware of the fact that The Undertaker isn’t in great shape right now, he carried injuries into his match with Brock Lesnar and left with even more, so he isn’t in the best shape but there’s still an outside chance he could be back in time for another WrestleMania match in around six months or so.

Even though The Deadman told fans at a recent charity function not to rule him out of a return just yet, the WWE will obviously be keeping their options open and it looks as if a plan b could already be set if The Undertaker doesn’t compete.

Destroy the scorpion

For now it should only be treated as a rumour but Bray Wyatt posted something interesting on his official Twitter account which suggests that he is teasing the fans that he will target Sting in the near future.

On Monday afternoon, Bray Wyatt took to his Twitter account to post the cryptic tweet, which read: “It exists in us all, we are the ants, destroy the scorpion. Be heard.”
The older audience will instantly pick up the massive hint Bray gives away, referring to destroying the scorpion. Hinting towards a possible showdown between the two dark characters.

Sting has also spoken up about Bray Wyatt and what he brings to the WWE, he mentioned how he would love to see Bray Wyatt rise up the ranks like he is because he is the one thing that is missing, referring to the fact that most WWE superstars lack personalities.

Fantastic choice

Obviously, The Undertaker would be everyone’s first choice because even though the wrestling won’t be great; the spectacle itself will go down in history. It could bring back fans who lost touch with the business years ago just to tune in for that one match everyone has been waiting for as Sting looks likelier than ever to sign a deal with the company.

If The Deadman cannot compete, then I don’t think anybody else would be a better fit than Bray Wyatt. He is the up-and-comer in a potential feud, wanting to take out this massive star the fans idolise. For that to happen Bray needs to look very strong heading towards 2015, he lost touch since his feud with John Cena ended and his rivalry with Chris Jericho fell short of expectations, even though the matches were brilliant.

A potential match should be welcomed by most fans as Bray can work in the ring and should be able to carry Sting no problem, who knows; perhaps The Icon will be next in line to Follow the Buzzards? Or will Sting pick up his first and possibly his only win in the WWE?
