Football News

Monday Night Football. The world was watching in anticipation for the legend that is Tom Brady. That legend never showed up.

Everytime there's an NFL game on a Monday night it's going to be something special, and this game matched the anticipation as the Kansas City Chiefs completely dominated the Patriots, both offensively and defensively.

Big plays for Kansas

Jamaal Charles was back from injury and had a huge impact on the game, scoring three touchdowns.

Travis Kelce also had a great game and showed why he will soon be known as one of the best tight ends in the league. Both the running game and passing game was executed perfectly by Kansas City, switching the rushing between the quick and agile Jamaal Charles to the big powerhouse Knile Davis had the Patriots defence confused.

Alex Smith also had a great game as he lead his team to this huge win. Tamba Hali, Justin Houston and Husain Abdullah were all extremely effective on the defensive side.

Patriots struggle

Tom Brady and the Patriots were abysmal throughout the game.

Brady was able to throw one touchdown in for Brandon LaFell and that was all he did offensively, struggling to find targets other than Julian Edelman and turning the ball over numerous time by throwing interceptions and fumbling the ball.

Jimmy Garoppolo would replace Brady in the fourth quarter and throw a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski, getting the Patriots to 14. Brady would then neglect to acknowledge Garoppolo on the sidelines.

What does the future hold?

It was an out of character game for Brady who is now 37 years old. As Garoppolo came on it was hard not to imagine a changing of the guard in New England eventually.

With the Patriots playing so poorly on offense they will need their leader to return to form. If he still can.
