Arsenal vs Galatasaray
Emirates Stadium
UEFA Champions League
Wednesday, October 1, 19.45 KO

Arsenal will be desperate to secure all three points in the Champions League this evening as they play host to Turkish outfit Galatasaray at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will be determined to bounce back after their last European outing, which saw them on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline against German outfit Borussia Dortmund.

However, Arsene Wenger's side will have to be at their best to overcome a dogged Galatasaray team. The Gunners chief has handed Alexis Sanchez a starting spot, whilst Danny Welbeck once again leads the line in attack.

Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will be hoping to keep it tight at the back, meanwhile, with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Co. roaming free.

Confirmed Teams

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Flamini, Cazorla, Ozil, Alexis, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck

Subs: Ospina, Coquelin, Bellerin, Rosicky, Wilshere, Campbell, Podolski

Galatasaray XI: Muslera-Chedjou, Felipe Melo, Semih Kaya-Veysel, Yekta, Dzemaili, Telles-Wesley Sneijder-Pandev, Burak Yılmaz

Subs: TBC

Alexis Sanchez

It looks set to be a big night for Alexis Sanchez, as he attempts to prove a point to Wenger. The Chilean has struggled for opportunities in the last few fixtures, having only started one of the club's last three games.

However, Sanchez will be buoyed by his last outing against Turkish opponents in an Arsenal shirt. His first goal for the club helped secure the Gunners' place in the group stages of the competition against Besiktas in August, and he will be hoping to find the net in north London once again this evening.

Arsenal 2-0 Galatasaray - Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil to score the goals for Wenger's side.
