TNA have made a move to sign CM Punk. Not just any move, a BIG money move.

It has been reported, by Wrestling Observer that TNA approached Punk, in a similar way to how they approached Alberto Del Rio, through a mutual friend of Punk and TNA.

Return to TNA?

If Punk were to sign he would earn huge money, and the idea would be that he would the face of the franchise. It is believed that TNA offered him similar money to what Hulk Hogan earned when he was part of TNA.

CM Punk joining TNA would really improve the franchise, so it's no surprise that Punk, who is technically a free agent - and the best one out there - is attracting interest from him former employers.

Punk fans, and TNA fans for that matter, don't get your hopes up though, as Punk supposedly has no interest in working in wrestling again, as Marc Middleton of the Wrestlinginc.com adhered to:

"Punk reportedly expressed no interest in working in pro wrestling again."

Punk made this statement at the Alternative Press Music Awards in july when he said he would "never ever, never ever ever!" return to the ring.

Punk spotted at wrestling event

This news comes after CM Punk was spotted at his first wrestling event since he left the WWE all the way back in January.

Punk was there, allegedly, to support his friends - Cliff Compton, Rip Rogers and Trailer Park Trash - who were competing at the event in Ohio Valley on Saturday night.

It was also revealed that Punk's three friend were the only people he spoke to during his time at the event, and whilst he didn't ask for the special treatment, organizers warned other wrestlers not to bother Punk.

With regards to Punk returning to the ring however, don't rule it out. If there's one thing that's certain within the wrestling world, it't that former stars never lose the buzz that being in the ring offers. Look at superstars such as the Rock, Hulk Hogan and Batista. They have all left and returned to action. I'd expect Punk to do the same at some stage - perhaps not to TNA though.
